Profile of the Group
T-HT Group is the leading provider of telecommunications services in Croatia and the sole company to offer the full range of these services: it combines the services of fixed and mobile telephony, data transmission, Internet and international communications.
The basic activities of HT-Hrvatske telekomunikacije d.d. and other subsidiary companies comprise provision of telecommunications services, design and construction of telecommunications networks in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. In addition to the provision of fixed telephony services (fixed-line access and traffic, as well as fixed-network supplementary services), the Group also provides Internet services, including IPTV, data transmission services (lease of lines, Metro-Ethernet, IP/MPLS, ATM) and GSM and UMTS mobile telephone networks.
Fully customer oriented organization
Hrvatski Telekom d. d. is a joint stock company in the majority ownership of Deutsche Telekom AG. The company was founded on 28 December 1998 in the Republic of Croatia, pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Separation of Croatian Post and Telecommunications into Croatian Post and Croatian Telecom, in which process the business operations of the former company Hrvatska pošta i telekomunikacije (HPT s p.o.) were separated and transferred to the two new joint stock companies: Hrvatske telekomunikacije d.d. (later Hrvatski Telekom d.d.) i Hrvatska pošta d.d., which started their business operations on 1 January 1999.
In the course of 2002 HT-mobilne komunikacije d.o.o. (later T-Mobile Croatia d.o.o.) was registered as a separate company, a subsidiary fully owned by Hrvatske telekomunikacije d.d.., for the purpose of providing mobile telephone network services.
HT Group introduced on 2004 a new corporate identity. The change of identity at the corporate level was followed by the creation of trade marks of the two separate Group segments, T-Com and T-Mobile.
Through merger of the companies T-Mobile Hrvatska d.o.o. and Hrvatski Telekom d.d., T-Com and T-Mobile operations were integrated into one, fully customer oriented organization in 2010.
Integration of business segments
The Company is organized in several functional segments. The Company’s organization consists of Financial Support and Steering Function, Technical Functions, Human Resources Support and Steering Function, Support and Steering Functions of the President of the Management Board and two Business Units: Customer Facing Unit Residential and Customer Facing Unit Business.
Financial Support and Steering Function is headed by Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Human Resources Support and Steering Function is headed by Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Support and Steering Functions of the President of the Management Board is headed by the President of the Management Board (CEO). These functions are common for the entire Company and they ensure that all business segments of the Company are aligned and that the Company can operate as one entity.
Technical Functions are headed by Chief Technical and Chief Information Officer Group (GCTO/CIO). These functions comprise the activities related to ICT services and construction, on Company level, with a view to providing technical platform for services and achieving synergy effects - both internally and externally.
Business Units have a management function, as well as responsibility for profit and loss for respective business areas. Apart from Hrvatski Telekom d.d., the companies Iskon Internet d.d. and KDS d.o.o. are also members of the T-HT Group.
Driver of Croatian economic development
The strategy of HT will also in the future be based on the quality of services, customer satisfaction and further development of broadband access and value-added services related to broadband access.
A low level of indebtedness, developed technological infrastructure facilitating further development of services and its own human and expert potentials are a guarantee for further growth and increase of HT potentials. Today HT is rightly considered one of the most powerful economic entities in the country and, as such, has been one of the key drivers of Croatian economic development.
