On 12 December, the Zagreb Hypo Center hosted the ceremony for presentation of the Zagreb Stock Exchange Awards for 2013. This year again, Hrvatski Telekom was one of the award winners.
In 2012, the Zagreb Stock Exchange introduced a new concept of awarding members and issuers, the idea behind the Zagreb Stock Exchange Awards being to boost awareness of the capital market and its active participants in the financial and general public.
The awards were presented in seven categories:
1. Share with Highest Turnover
2. Share with Biggest Price Increase
3. Share with Biggest Turnover Increase
4. Member of the Year
5. Award of the ZSE Academy for Outstanding Contribution to Education on the Capital Market
6. Award for Outstanding Contribution to Capital Market Development
7. Share of the Year - Public Choice Award.
Just like last year, HT was awarded in the category of Share with Highest Turnover. On behalf of Hrvatski Telekom, the award was received by Erika Kašpar, Operating Director of the Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Sector.
"The percentage of HT's share turnover in the total turnover of the Zagreb Stock Exchange continues to be very high, over the last several months even above 20 percent, which shows the attractiveness of our share and high level of trust of shareholders thanks to whom the turnover is so high. Despite the fact that this year we are witnessing again decline in the total turnover of our share, as well as decline of the whole market, it has been much slower than last year. In the second half of the year, after we had engaged two trading specialists, an increase has been recorded, which gives us reason to be more optimistic about the upcoming period”, said Ms Kašpar and thanked for the award on behalf of the company.
