At Hrvatski Telekom (HT) a large number of diverse projects are implemented every year, many of them resulting in a new service to the customer. Providing services to customers often includes contact with personal and other confidential data, where adequate protection is required. Application of adequate measures of data privacy and IT/NT security is an important factor for recognition of the high quality and competitiveness of HT's products and services and of HT's operations in compliance with applicable regulations. In order to ensure systematic application of the a.m. measures, HT established the PSA (Privacy and Security Assessment) Process in May 2012.
To put it in most simple terms, the PSA is a process of systematic and timely identification and implementation of data protection and IT/NT security measures in HT's projects.
The basic objective of the PSA Process is to ensure a "privacy by design" and "security by design" approach, i.e. to integrate all relevant data protection and IT/NT security requirements into HT's products and services in a very early (initial) phase of each project, and thus achieve that data privacy and data security become an integral part of all our products and services practically from the moment of their design.
