We are creating the future now, and you have 24 hours to change it. Hrvatski Telekom, in cooperation with other partners, opens applications for the third HACK IT DAYZ on November 24 and 25 in Zagreb at ALGEBRA LAB. It is a 24-hour intensive work for developers, designers and other motivated individuals or groups who want to realize new creative solutions on the topic of Future of Video Communications. Applications are open until November 2 for all those who are happy about the opportunities offered by the latest technologies and innovations and the positive changes that they bring to society.
Individuals can be admitted alone or teamed (up to four people) and the only condition is that they are at least 16 years old. Participants can expect a great atmosphere, professional mentoring, food and drink, a chill&fun zone for creative thinking and a surprise gift.
In addition to the 24-hour challenge at the hackathon competition itself and the opportunity to win the main prize - 30,000 kunas and a two-day workshop in the hub:raum start-up accelerator in Poland, for the first time this year HT organized a special conference program for participants and guests. At an exclusive conference, to be held on Saturday, November 24, domestic and foreign lecturers will talk about technology, trends and innovations from their fields of expertise.
The lecturers are:
Luka Abrus, CEO and co-owner of the agency Five, who will talk about his way from startup to a successful international business; Erik Meijer from Technology and Innovation at Deutsche Telekom, who will share his experience of the largest European telecom and talk about successful business models in the market; prof. Ninoslav Mimica, head of the Institute at Vrapče Psychiatry Clinic, who will outline, from a scientific perspective, the reasons for changes in human needs and lives and show how technology can serve to raise the quality of human life; Vedran Blagus, investment manager at the South Central Ventures fund focused on technology companies in the CEE region, who will talk about the relationship between technology companies and investors.
Lena Lalić and Ivan Gorski from Hrvatski Telekom will hold a workshop on the topic of team spirit building and co-operation within the team.
HT's hackathon, supported by hub:raum which is in constant search for innovative technological solutions, proved to be one of the most demanding hackathons in the region with the complexity of the topics set and strong competition in its first year. In addition to registered teams and conference guests, HACK IT DAYZ will host over 180 experts and mentors from the startup community.
The project is organized by the HT Core Communication Team, which is part of the EU Product Marketing Team and the even broader STEM HUB project of Hrvatski Telekom. It is the right place for all those who want to foster the development of skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Project partners are hub:raum of Deutsche Telekom, Otvoreno učilište Algebra, Zagrebačka banka and Mastercard, Samsung and Tportal.hr.
