Even higher Internet speeds in HT's fixed network

16.12.2013

Hrvatski Telekom, the leading provider of telecommunications services, has refreshed its Ultra MAX offer with packages based on the FttH technology offering 10 times higher speed when compared with MAX2/3 packages for residential customers. In this way, users of MAX3 packages that have 4 Mbps Internet speed are now given the possibility to have 40 mbps download and 10 mbps upload speeds for just 40 extra kunas, and for additional 30 kunas they will get 100 mbps download and 20 mbps upload speeds, which are the highest speeds available on the market!

Hrvatski Telekom guarantees that customers will be provided with the maximum 100 Mbps download and 20 mbps upload speeds in packages because the FttH technology facilitates the guaranteed speed to the customer, unlike other offers on the market where the offered maximum speed is shared among customers on the fiber optic cable network. With 100 mbps download speed a MP3 track can be downloaded instantly, a film in a standard form in about two minutes, and a film in HD format in 15 minutes.

The promotional offer will be available in the period from 13 December 2013 to 13 February 2014 and all new users of Ultra MAX2 and Ultra MAX3 packages signing a 12 or 24-month contract will pay the first three months of Ultra MAX package at the price charged for the same package on copper infrastructure.

HT has built its fiber optic infrastructure in 15 Croatian cities: Bjelovar, Slavonski Brod, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Pula, Karlovac, Koprivnica, Čakovec, Osijek, Rijeka, Split, Šibenik, Varaždin, Vinkovci, Zadar. With the help and support of local community, fiber optic infrastructure is also available in smaller places: Bukovje Bistransko, Donja Bistra, Gornja Bistra, Jablanovec, Novaki Bistranski, Oborovo Bistransko, Poljanica Bistranska.

This brings us to the end of the pilot project called Fiberland, which was launched in 2008 and during which Hrvatski Telekom tested fiber optic technology on relevant locations. All pilot project participants can opt for new Ultra MAX packages on fiber optic infrastructure or choose services which HT provides via copper infrastructure.
