Students of secondary schools of applied arts from Split, Rijeka, Osijek and Zagreb exhibited about fifty drawings created on Huawei tablets at the virtual exhibition on the Facebook pages of Hrvatski Telekom and Huawei Device Croatia.
The companies donated devices to vocational school students for use during regular classes, and about forty students joined the project of using modern technological tools in the educational program. With the support of teachers, the students used Huawei tablets and applications, instead of traditional painting tools, to draw various painting subjects, according to the curriculum, or expressed their creativity by freely choosing their subjects.

Huawei and HT donated tablets after the first exhibition on tablets in Croatia, held in April and May this year in Zagreb and four other cities in Croatia. The exhibition was designed by Igor Zovko who used Huawei tablet as a product of modern technology for this unique event on the national cultural and ICT scene and displayed, in selected T Centers, drawings on tablets from the thematic concept “Giants”. The project will be continued with a virtual exhibition at which secondary school students will promote their talent and drawings made on tablets.

"At Hrvatski Telekom we strive to bring technology, as a driving force, closer to people and in this way make it possible for them to create new values for the future. To this end, we constantly invest in the development of our network, which is the best in the country, and expand our offer with the devices that have top performances. It is a great pleasure to see that our efforts contribute to creative work of young people. This cooperation is the best proof that both schools and students recognize the need to prepare for the new era" said Maja Weber, Director of the Public Relations Department of Hrvatski Telekom.

"We donated tablets to schools after the exhibition in T-Centers was closed, and I believe that with this joint initiative we have shown, in the best possible way, how global trends can be used in a very creative field such as art. We have also encouraged teachers and students to use advantages and possibilities of the ICT world in our educational system and in the classroom" said Dan Klepač, Director of Huawei Device in Croatia.

Secondary school principals from the four major regional centers eagerly joined the project, and after several school representatives participated in the opening of the exhibition on tablets in Zagreb in April, at the beginning of the new school year the donated tablets were given to students and their mentors so that they can explore their creativity. Students’ drawings include a number of portraits, animal and nature studies. Their inspiration also came from abstractions and graffiti, popular persons and ideas from comics such as manga and super heroes.

Drawings were created by fourth-graders in the painting and graphic design courses at the School of Applied Arts and Design in Osijek, supported by their mentors Marko Šošić, Željko Ašperger and Želimir Fišić. Second, third and fourth graders in the painting and sculpture design courses at the Art School Split with their mentors Hrvoje Zuanić and Ivan Listeš also took part in the project, as well as third and fourth graders in the industrial and graphic design courses at the School of Applied Arts in Rijeka with their mentor Maja Dinić and third and fourth graders in the graphic design course at the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb with their mentor Vinka Mortigjija Anušić.
