Hrvatski Telekom Announces Winners of the ‘AIMO! Create and Cheer with AI’s Competition

A total of 1,379 entries were submitted to the “AIMO! Create and Cheer with AI” competition. Using a variety of artificial intelligence-based tools, creators creatively expressed their interpretation of the emotions surrounding support for the Croatian national football team through video and visual works.

An expert jury selected ten finalists from the submitted entries and then chose the three winning works. In addition to the jury awards, a special Audience Award was presented, with the winner selected through public voting on Hrvatski Telekom’s official Instagram profile.

The jury’s first prize of €7,000 was awarded to a work in which Petar, a “professional” ornithologist, uses AI tools to translate what seagulls acting as “coaches” are really trying to tell us. The second prize of €4,000 went to a video depicting the tense anticipation, celebration, and outpouring of emotions following a goal. The third prize of €2,000 was awarded to a video that follows a young boy who, in a digitized world, reconnects with people and brings them together through the emotions inspired by football. The Audience Award, also of €2,000, went to a work featuring a boy named Marko who dreams of playing for the Croatian national team one day.

The winning entries stood out for their creativity, originality, quality of execution, and innovative use of artificial intelligence tools, while capturing the passion and emotions of football supporters.

“The competition has clearly shown how much talent, imagination, and innovative thinking there is among local creators. I am pleased that this project provides a platform for bringing together football and technology while allowing authors to highlight their ideas. The response exceeded all expectations, and the submitted works were original, personal, and a strong testament to the potential of artificial intelligence as a tool for creative expression,” said Igor Vukasović, Corporate Communications Director at Hrvatski Telekom.

The “AIMO! Create and Cheer with AI” competition is part of Hrvatski Telekom’s broader efforts to make artificial intelligence more accessible to the public and to encourage the creative and responsible use of innovative technologies. Through educational content and creative challenge, the project demonstrated how AI can open new opportunities for idea development, creativity, and content production.

The best entries will also be presented at a special exhibition at Zen Contemporary Art Gallery and across Hrvatski Telekom’s digital platforms.

The jury consisted of Branka Bajt (Hrvatski Telekom), Davor Bruketa (Bruketa&), Ante Cicvarić (Croatian Football Federation), Damir Ciglar (Imago Ogilvy), Filip Filković Philatz (More-Magnets), and Frankica Mitrović Mihić (Zen Contemporary Art Gallery).
