T Business Academy in Rijeka on 22 April

What do a chef and a podcaster have in common? Mate Janković and Višnja Željeznjak will answer this in front of more than 200 entrepreneurs

T Business Academy 2026, a year-round free educational program by Hrvatski Telekom for micro and small entrepreneurs, is coming to Rijeka. The second of six regional events will take place at the Hilton Rijeka Costabella hotel on Tuesday, 22 April at 12:30 PM. Local entrepreneurs, sole proprietors, and small business owners will have the opportunity to learn first-hand how artificial intelligence, digitalization, and cybersecurity can concretely improve their day-to-day business operations.

What to expect in Rijeka

The Rijeka event will feature two panel discussions. The first, “Mindset for a New Era: How Those One Step Ahead Think,” will feature entrepreneurial stories shared by Višnja Željeznjak, a Rijeka-based entrepreneur, podcaster, and co-founder of the expert promotion platform Eduza, and Mate Janković, a chef, entrepreneur, and founder of the restaurant SOL tapas na hrvatski/Croatian tapas, also widely known to the public as a jury member on MasterChef Croatia. Domagoj Paripović, Director of Business Marketing at Hrvatski Telekom, will join this panel moderated by Iva Šulentić.

The second panel discussion is dedicated to business risks that small entrepreneurs often recognize only once they occur – from cybersecurity threats to business continuity. In addition to the panels, the program includes expert lectures on the application of artificial intelligence and on business competitiveness and resilience. Participants will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for valuable Honor prizes.

Open call for mentoring support

Alongside the Rijeka event, Hrvatski Telekom invites entrepreneurs across Croatia to apply for mentoring support during 2026. Ten selected companies will receive a personal mentor from the Sentor Senior Entrepreneurs Club – experienced entrepreneurs who understand the realities of small business from the inside – and the program is free. Applications are open to companies, sole proprietors, freelancers, and family farms with up to ten employees. Applications are open until 4 May at https://t-akademija.ht.hr/.

About the Academy

T Business Academy continues the Business START Academy program, which in 2025 brought together more than 4,000 participants and 300 companies from across Croatia. The new edition expands its focus to all entrepreneurs seeking digital advancement. The program includes six in-person courses in six cities, more than 20 webinars, a year-round mentoring program, and a competition for the best business idea with a prize of EUR 5,000. The Academy is part of Hrvatski Telekom’s broader initiative to enhance digital literacy. Alongside the “AI ti to možeš” program aimed at citizens, the Academy covers the business side.

The program is carried out in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK), the Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZŠEM), Zagrebačka banka, Croatia osiguranje, Halpet, and Honor.

Participation is free of charge and open to all entrepreneurs, regardless of whether they are Hrvatski Telekom customers. Applications, program details, mentoring, webinars, and a knowledge base are all available on a single platform: https://t-akademija.ht.hr/
