With the new Magenta 1 package offer in the fixed network, Hrvatski Telekom has made an important step forward in providing the best home experience in all four key components: speed, security, technology, and content.
In the new fixed service packages, the internet speed is increased to the highest available speed, allowing the simultaneous connection of twice as many devices in one home with the highest connection quality, all with unlimited traffic. The state-of-the-art WiFi6 technology is now even more accessible. It raises the standard of wireless connectivity further, and with the best equipment on the market, advanced options for the home WiFi network are also activated. This significantly increases security, stability, and network coverage in every part of the home. The new packages also give every household a unique MAXtv television experience. The MAXtv application is significantly improved, and as part of the upgrade and modernization, AndroidTV and AppleTV device platforms were also developed.
Hrvatski Telekom has the most extensive fiber optic FTTH network, and the only truly gigabit technology is being built throughout Croatia, with a plan to cover more than a million households. With new fixed packages created to correspond to users' needs and preferences directly, all users who are not yet on fiber optic infrastructure will be offered internet speeds to the maximum possible level available in their locations. Anyone who wants more than that has fixed access to the mobile network based on 5G technology (FWA), which enables speeds of up to 200 Mbit/s throughout Croatia.
To enable faster speeds and the best experience of using the internet in every part of the home, we will provide our users with the best available technology with WiFi extra mesh devices, which enable significantly greater signal stability in every part of the home, secure and worry-free connection of a large number of different devices and doubled internet access speeds than before. An extra WiFi device is available for larger houses and apartments, which is included in the price. New WiFi6 devices become standard in Hrvatski Telekom's fixed offer. They currently cover a third of HT's fixed network throughout Croatia; all new users get them, and existing devices for existing users are now being replaced.
Technological innovation also occurs in the operating system on which the new equipment functions, so from now on, HT will have, in addition to the best devices, unique software that manages them in the same way, which enables faster monitoring of technological trends on the device market, regardless of the manufacturer. This also facilitates the introduction of new digital functionalities, such as internet security for all users, and is why such a platform is a pledge for future innovations in HT.
The new technology has enabled significantly greater security for the home internet environment. Hrvatski Telekom offers an internet security option in all new packages at no additional charge, allowing one to easily set and change the desired security settings via the Moj Telekom application, such as parental protection or limiting time online. The standard that the new WiFi6 device and standard security upgrade enable has laid the foundation for faster implementation of various future smart home solutions.
The largest selection of entertainment and sports content is one of the characteristics of MAXtv, which has exclusive rights to all matches of the domestic football championship. It is not only the most watched sports content, but the viewership of the MAXSport program in live broadcasts and on digital platforms is continuously and manifold growing compared to last season. Now, the experience of watching television in the new packages is also being raised to a new, even higher level. By the end of the year, all MAXtv users will receive a completely new redesigned application that will provide an even better viewing experience with maximum image quality and numerous options for personalized content management. On the new AndroidTV and AppleTV devices MAXtv platforms, which are systematically upgraded, full functionality will be available by the end of the year.
