Finals of the HT Telekom eSports Championship: The best among the 907 registered compete

The finale of the regional gaming competition, Telekom eSports Championship, is approaching. This year, it is being held for the second time under the organization of Hrvatski Telekom. The final matches on June 10 at Algebra University College in Zagreb start at 10 am. The campus at Gradišćanska Street 24 is one of the most modern campuses in Croatia, and admission to this event is free.

All matches will be played as 'Best of 3', meaning winning two gameplay rounds is necessary. The FIFA competitors will be the first on the schedule, starting at 10 am. The finalists are CLA_brstimir and CLA_marac90, who compete individually for the prize. In the LOL game (League of Legends), teams will compete for first place at 11:30 am, and the best teams that have reached the finals are Void Esports, whose players are from Macedonia, Sweden, Serbia, and Romania, and Spiritual Zero, whose players are from Croatia and Serbia. The last scheduled game is CS:GO at 3 pm, and the finalists are Zero Tenacity and Jake bube. The schedule is subject to changes depending on the duration of the matches. 

The competition can be followed on Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/telekomesports. This year's edition of the Telekom eSports Championship has seen a 30 percent increase in semi-professional and professional players and teams compared to last year.

"The significant response from 907 players during the registration phase is evidence of the growing popularity of esports in this region. As in the past, this year, we have strived to promote awareness of responsible behavior in the virtual world, which is of great importance for the current generation growing up in the digital age. We will continue to provide additional value to our participants, and considering the increasing interest, I believe we will positively impact a large part of the younger generation," said Branka Bajt, Brand Director at Hrvatski Telekom.

The message that "esports is not just a game" is the guiding principle of this year's Telekom eSports Championship. That is why influencers Lobanjica853, Aryssa641, Malajski Tapir, MarkoKC, and Crni Ante have supported it, aiming to spread the message about the importance of responsible behavior to young people, on the internet and in everyday life alike.
