"After testing of the Home monitoring Service was conducted by a customer test group during the last couple of months, T-Com is offering this Service to all MAXadsl customers as from today.
Positioned as a non-professional surveillance service, Home monitoring is the ideal solution for all customers who wish to be connected to their home at any time and be sure that everything is OK at home.
In the case of any unwanted situations, the Home monitoring Service will inform the customer accordingly, enabling him to check what is going on at home.
Customers may use their personal computers to access the Home monitoring Service through the Internet Portal, or they may use their mobile handsets. The Service will allow detection of movement, opening of doors or windows, presence of family members in the home by means of pendants, camera surveillance of rooms and alarm by SMS or e-mail message.
Installation and use of the Home monitoring Service is very simple – the customer needs to connect the equipment by modem to the broadband enabled telephone line and to position sensors into the various rooms of his home – no tools or additional cabling required. In order to use the Home monitoring Service, you will need a personal computer, MAXadsl Internet access, a WLAN router, a mobile handset for SMS and a Home monitoring equipment package.
Customers may choose between two equipment packages: the Basic or the Plus Package.
The Basic Package contains a central unit, a movement sensor, a door or window sensor and a pendant allowing management of the entire system, while the Plus Package will add a camera to the above mentioned items. Also, more equipment items (movement sensors, door or window sensors, pendant, camera, light and button) are available to the customer for additional purchase.
