It is only a few days before the start of this year's T-HT conference, which will be held at Zagreb's Hypo Center on October 1, under the motto Growing through Knowledge. This fall two world-renowned and prominent speakers will attend the conference: Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize winner and founder of the Grameen Bank and Professor Dan Ariely, prominent behavioral economist and expert in the field of human behavior. The speakers, who will visit Croatia for the first time ever, at the invitation of T-HT, will give interesting lectures about human potentials, creativity, fight against poverty and decision-making.
"I am looking forward to arriving in Croatia and participating in the conference that places an emphasis on knowledge, growth and progress," stated Professor Yunus, commenting on the upcoming conference. "I am extremely pleased I will be able to share my experiences and faith in the human creativity with the Croatian audience. Each person has enormous potential and is able to influence the lives of others within the community over the course of his or her life. I believe it is important to be aware of that because it means that we have an opportunity to help people change their own lives for the better - something that I have been able to learn through my experience with the Grameen model.“
"Over the years I have tried to understand why we make unusual, surprising and sometimes even dangerous decisions. The findings of my researches have changed fundamentally both my private and professional life," said Professor Ariely, one of the speakers at the T-HT conference. "Hopefully, the interesting results, findings and conclusions that I have reached will encourage the audience to think and, perhaps, make better decisions, both for their own sake and for the sake of the wider social community."
T-HT conference, titled Growing through Knowledge, is being organized for the second year in a row now. Moreover, it focuses on the importance of knowledge for both individual and social growth. The conference hosts renowned and inspirational individuals, experts and speakers who contribute to and help the human kind, as well as spur others into thinking or action, all in a rather recognizable way, through their actions, ideas, projects and knowledge, on both local and global level. With this year's conference T-HT will also mark the second anniversary of its IPO, which had officially begun on October 5, 2007.
Instructions for journalists present at the T-HT conference:
Photo shooting and audio/video recording of speakers is allowed only at the beginning, namely, only first 5 minutes of their lectures at the appropriate distance from the stage.
