This year’s Christmas charity drive of T – Hrvatski Telekom entitled “Let’s make a present of knowledge” will be starting on Tuesday, 2nd December. The donation of more than HRK 1.2 M is intended for implementation of twenty education projects.
In order not only to support implementation of the actual projects but also to stress the importance of knowledge for the entire society, T- Hrvatski Telekom selected twenty institutions or associations gathering various groups: preschool children, secondary school children and students as well as the adults with special needs and seniors.
This educational drive will include different contents: two children playgrounds, in Pokupsko and Smokovljani, which were destroyed in the Homeland war will be renovated as well as the playground in Pučišća on the island of Brač; the classrooms for gifted informaticians, winners of many international awards from the Zagreb 5th and 15th Gymnasium, will be equipped; puppet show workshop of the Osijek Art Academy will be supported; production of comprehensive data base of all children with neurological risk of Primorsko-Goranska County - Rehabilitation Center in Rijeka will be financially supported. Together with “Sabirnica” the oldest IT association, T-HT will organize IT courses for young persons of impaired hearing and with the Croatian Association of the Blind, for the blind. Moreover, T-HT will donate computers to all homes for the elderly and the infirm in the Zagreb area and enable the in-mates to attend IT courses.
In addition, for the purpose of further development of the “Let’s make a present of knowledge” project, the www.darujmoznanje.com internet page with the basic information of the projects will be available. This page will enable the partners and the general public to participate in the project: to say why they think that the knowledge is important for Croatia and if they wish, to support the selected projects.
By initiating the “Let’s make a present of knowledge” drive T- Hrvatski Telekom would like to wish to Croatian public a joyful Holiday Season in a socially responsible manner.
