The „T-HTnagrada@msu.hr“ exhibition, or contest, is a unique joint project of the Museum of Modern Art and T-Hrvatski Telekom, boasting the highest amounts for purchase of works of modern art ever awarded by a national company to a museum in Croatia. This year, the amounts of the purchase prize awards for the top three prizes were increased to a total of 210 000 HRK net, while the Audience Award, which is not a purchase prize and which will be awarded upon the closing of the exhibition, continues to be 15 000 HRK. The Audience Award will go the work which collected the most votes from the visitors of the exhibition.
The awarded works of the „T-HTnagrada@msu.hr“ contest will be included in the „T-HT Collection of Modern Art“ which will become a part of the Fund of the Museum of Modern Art in Zagreb, and this Collection is intended to grow. The T-HT Collection will be based on new communication technologies, multimedia video and audio production, media art – such as video, experimental film and Web art, and works at the crossover between art and technology, such as robotic and electronic art, but it will also include works which express their attitude towards new technologies by means of traditional media such as painting, sculptures and graphic art, as well as works created by integration of such media, which stand out by innovation and high quality.
Last year, T-Hrvatski Telekom became the General Partner of the Museum of Modern Art in Zagreb. The prize contest in the area of modern art, „T-HTnagrada@msu.hr“, is the key project realized by such cooperation, however, through its cooperation with the Museum of Modern Art, Croatia's largest telecommunications operator is also promoting education programs for children and students.
