With today’s donation to the Varaždin Health Centre T-Mobile concluded the main yearly donation – donation of medical equipment for ambulance cars. Donation worth 300,000 Kuna was handed over to the director of the Health Centre in Varaždin Ivan Crnković by President of the Management Board of T-Mobile Rainer Rathgeber. After donation of the equipment for an ambulance car to the Ambulance Station in Split and the Health Centre in Pula, this donation represents the completion of this year’s support to ambulance stations by T-Mobile. The main yearly donation of T-Mobile is oriented towards support to ambulance stations and it wants to point once more to the bond between mobility and efficient communication in saving and protecting human lives. Handing over the donation the President of the Management Board of T-Mobile Rainer Rathgeber said: „There is only one motif for donation, and it is humanity behind which there stand all the employees of T-Mobile. This is the third year in a row already that we provide support to the health care system, orienting our donations and activities primarily towards ambulance stations following the idea that mobility and efficient communication are crucial in protecting and saving human lives. Both characteristics are common to medical stations and T-Mobile. Thus, this year we equipped three ambulance cars with top medical equipment. Since we were led by professional recommendations in choosing the locations, we are sure that donations go where they are needed most”. Thus, donations in June and July were handed over to the coastal destinations Split and Pula, where the number of emergency calls is on the increase during summer as a consequence of great many tourists arriving on vacation. Donation to the Varaždin Health Centre shall raise the level of service in this part of Croatia too, since, according to Ivan Crnković, the director of the Health Centre of the Varaždin County, the equipment and the vehicles are of crucial importance for quick response. „Trying to provide all people on the area of our county with the highest quality, and timely aid as well, sometimes our experienced team of paramedics is not enough. The equipment, that is more important than the vehicle itself, needs constant renewal in order to be able to provide citizens with quick and efficient aid out in the field. This extremely valuable donation in the amount of 300,000 Kuna represents the only donation received by the Health Centre of the Varaždin County for its activity in the last three years. “We all together thank you most sincerely for this act and support“, he added. We can witness daily many situations in which high-quality and efficient operation of ambulance services is of crucial importance with saving the lives. This is one of the reasons why T-Mobile donated two years ago five ambulance cars with state-of-the-art equipment worth one million Euro to ambulance stations in Zagreb, Osijek, Dubrovnik and Gospić. The entire donation was also the biggest individual donation of an economic entity to the health care system since Croatia has been established. In addition to donations of equipment and vehicles, in cooperation with Osijek-Baranja County the educational program „Halo, Ambulance“ has been initiated and the monitor of vital life functions was handed over to the Split Ambulance Station. This year’s donation in the field of health care system represents the continuation of T-Mobile’s socially responsible behavior.
