Over Three Million Kuna for Culture

In order to make cultural events more popular in Croatia and support them, T-Com will again launch the KulTurist project, for the third year in a row

The name KulTurist units T-Com's sponsorships of major cultural events for which this year T-Com will provide more than three million Kuna, either as financial aid or through services. The list of festivals to be sponsored by T-Com this year within the KulTurist project includes: Vukovar Film Festival, Pula Film Festival, Split Summer, Libertas Film Festival, International Small Scenes Festival in Rijeka, Zagrebdox, Festival of Laughter in Istria; T-Com will also continue supporting the Ulysses Theatre.

T-Com – as the leading provider of telecommunications services in Croatia – selects festivals it wants to sponsor and through the project KulTurist participates in the organization of the major cultural happenings throughout Croatia, from Dubrovnik to Vukovar, and shares its market success with the community in which it operates.

At the presentation of this year's plan of investment into Croatian culture Ms. Ivana Šoljan noted: "T-Com and the Croatian cultural scene started their third season together. This year we decided to support film and theater festivals. With the KulTurist project we want to contribute in our own way, so that the number of people who visit and enjoy cultural events should increase from year to year. When selecting this year's projects, we took into consideration their originality and attractiveness."

T-Com supports the afore mentioned projects by providing different services it has developed and now is offering on the Croatian market. Thus, it will cover the activities of certain festivals on T-Portal, one of the most frequently visited and the most popular portals in the country. Apart from that, T-Com will make state-of-the-art technologies, such as broadband Internet access, available to festival participants. For certain festivals, such as the Pula Festival and the Libertas Film Festival, T-Com will develop on-line award games for the best amateur film, i.e. for making of the best video clip.
