The First Croatian Eventing

T-Com sponsored the International Horse Riding Competition in one of the most attractive disciplines – eventing. The competition was held in Maksimir park in Zagreb

Eventing is an equestrian event (French: concours complet, German: Vielseitigkeit) which comprises three tests for both horses and riders: dressage, cross-country (riding over solid natural obstacles) and show-jumping.

The winners are the rider and the horse who collect the least points during the competition. A rider must ride the same horse in all three phases of the competition. About thirty riders, among whom were guests from Austria and Germany, rode on their beautiful horses accross Kišobran (Umbrella) field to Jeka (Echo) pavilion, along the lake bellow Vidikovac (Belvedere) and the same way back to Kišobran field. Austrians won the first three places as follows: Kulterer Wolfgang and horse Splinters Of Gold, Jäger Martin on Pepino 4, Karahasan Yasmin on Welton Abbigale.

Great orgnization and numerous viewers marked the first Croatian eventing, and KK Hiperion (horse-riding club) and forecasted even more riders and pleasant atmosphere for the next year.
