HT and students of the Faculty of Economics and Business in the "Hassle-Free Recycling" Project

Hrvatski Telekom joined the Hassle-Free Recycling Project as a partner. The project activities include collection of old mobile phones, chargers and accessories in the course of December 2011. Mobile handsets will be collected at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. The students with the most devices collected will be given the opportunity to visit the mobile phone recycling facility (Spectra media d.o.o.), organized by HT, and to have a look at the recycling process.

The Project was brought to life by a group of young, enthusiastic and environmentally aware students of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb, in cooperation with the TIM Association (Team of Innovative Managers), in order to make young people aware of ecologically acceptable ways to dispose of such waste. The TIM Association intends to continue collecting old mobile handsets even after the end of this initial campaign, to see their vision come true, i.e. to "become drivers of e-waste disposal in the Zagreb area and to keep up environmental awareness among university students".

If you wish to support their campaign, you can hand over your old mobile phone for recycling at the Faculty of Economics and Business, each Tuesday from 10 to 12 h and each Wednesday from 10 to 14 h. Of course, you can hand over your old mobile phone and equipment at any of the T-Centers.

Since 2005, Hrvatski Telekom is conducting eco campaigns of collection of old mobile handsets; cooperation is also ongoing with elementary schools which have organized similar campaigns. Until now, more than 111.000 mobile handsets have been collected and recycled.
