Središnje klirinško depozitarno društvo d.d. (SKDD – Central Depository and Clearing Company) informed HT as the issuer that on 02 May 2011, SKDD received an opinion of the Tax Administration of the Ministry of Finance, according to which the dividend for the SKDD participants depository can be paid, besides only into giro accounts, into another specified manners, under the condition that SKDD ensures and provides the Tax Administration the delivery of data related to all dividend payments, individually for each shareholder.
Namely, the General Tax Act stipulates that the persons who dispose of the taxation-relevant data or administer the securities positions and registers on assets and rights of tax payers, which includes SKDD, are obliged to submit the data required for the specification of a tax liability, implementation of execution and insurance measures at the request of the tax administration.
All HT shareholders who submitted to SKDD the information about their giro accounts for the dividend payment in the period starting from the effective date of the Act on Changes and Amendments of the Income Tax Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia 80/2010) – 01 July 2010 until today, can still have the dividend paid into their giro accounts. Furthermore, the shareholders who have already registered their current, or savings accounts can still receive the dividend payments into such accounts.
