We would like to inform our shareholders that, due to changes in the provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act and Corporate Income Tax Act, the second portion of dividend from profit achieved in the year 2011 will be subject to taxation. Payment will be effected on 21 May 2012, by the Central Depository and Clearing Company (SKDD) being the payment and tax agent.
In order to ensure successful payment transactions, we herewith invite all individuals who, at the dividend record date (25 April 2012) have been shareholders or persons entitled to payment, to check their data regarding the taxation address or payment account with the SKDD. The fastest way to proceed is to click the link: www.skdd.hr/portal/mojeracun/prijava which, at the same time, will activate the free My e-account service , with no need to deliver any documents to the SKDD.
Please note that, pursuant to the provisions of the Regulations on Personal Income Tax, the taxable person shall furnish the payer with data required for correct tax calculation and payment, as follows:
- personal identification number (OIB),
- domicile or habitual residence address as defined in Art. 37 and 38 General Tax Act (taxation address) , and
- the number of the holder's OWN giro or current account with a bank.
The payer can effect payment only if it has received all above mentioned.
Please note that the domicile or habitual residence address as defined in Art. 37 and 38 of the General Tax Act is not necessarily identical to the domicile and habitual residence address established by application of criteria from the Citizens' Domicile and Habitual Residence Act.
If taxation address data need to be changed, just fill in this Statement Form, enclose a photocopy of your identification document and submit to the SKDD. If there is any uncertainty regarding your taxation address, please contact your responsible Tax Administration for a check of this piece of data.
If payment account data need to be changed, , just enter directly, on the SKDD web page, your OWN payment account: www.skdd.hr/portal/upisracuna.
At the beginning of the next calendar year, the SKDD will furnish shareholders to whom payment was successfully effected with a confirmation as prescribed by law, which the shareholder may use for annual tax return purposes.
Shareholders to whom no payment will be effected (e.g. due to incomplete data on the address or incorrect bank account for payment, etc.), the SKDD will immediately after 21 May 2012 deliver a notice on the impossibility to effect payment.
On 4 May 2012, the SKDD delivered a notice on Announcement of Dividend Payment to Shareholders registered with the SKDD as residents of countries which have signed a Double Taxation Agreement with the Republic of Croatia. Attached to the notice is a Request for Return of Overpaid Tax on Dividends pursuant to the Double Taxation Agreement. This Request needs to be verified at the responsible tax administration body of the country abroad. The SKDD must receive two verified copies until 18 May 2012 at the latest, otherwise tax will be calculated in line with the national tax regulations (12% rate).
